Celebrate Recovery - India
Paul & Sarah’s Story: From Struggle to Hope
Paul and Sarah met in 2007 through an arranged marriage, a common tradition in their region of India. At the time, Sarah was a nurse and Paul worked for a non-profit organization. They married in 2008.
Though both knew God, they were unprepared for the challenges of marriage. Their early years were marked by criticism, anger, and disconnection. Outwardly, they seemed fine—but inside, their relationship was crumbling.
In 2014, everything began to change when they joined their first Celebrate Recovery Step Study. There, they faced their emotional, physical, and spiritual brokenness.
“Gradually, the Spirit of God, through the 12 steps, helped us bring our sickness into the light,” says Paul.
“People who know us are amazed by the transformation,” adds Sarah. “We want to share this healing with others.”
The Bigger Picture
Today, many across India and Nepal are experiencing the healing power of Celebrate Recovery. Individuals are breaking cycles of denial, and leaders are stepping into truth and freedom.
But the need is great. India is home to over 19,500 mother tongues, with 121 spoken by more than 10,000 people. The diversity of languages creates a major challenge in reaching people with this message of hope. We need workers, translators, and funding to help carry the message farther.
A Vision for Impact
Our dream is to launch a sustainable textile business to help fund these efforts. It will do more than raise support—it will provide jobs and skill training to families in need. Most importantly, employees will work in a loving environment where they’ll hear life-giving truth from our Father.
We've already partnered with a CR supporter in Nepal who is training Paul to lead this venture.
